2019
2019年5月25〜26日に、東京・渋谷にて展覧会『砂の部屋《Emptiness passport in a handful of sand》』を開催しました。
On May 25-26, 2019, the exhibition "Sand room《Emptiness passport in a handful of sand》" was held in Tokyo. A ton of sand was laid out in the exhibition space, and visitors were issued an "Emptiness passport" containing a handful of sand. Through it, a handful of sand will flow out from a ton of sand.

<Artist Statement>
A ton of sand is laid out. A handful of sand flows. And at the end of that handful of sand is you.
---
A ton of sand flows out by a handful of sand, and that sand continues to flow through this world. The connection of emptiness emerges between the sand and the sand that flows everywhere by living things. Emptiness is a space of possibility, and the connection between the two represents the very existence of each other, before there was any disconnection or bond.
A handful of someone else exists beyond my handful, and someone else certainly exists on my continuation. As the weight of the flowing sand increases, the realization of this continuation becomes more and more certain.
